Max,

I regret waiting so many months to write!  It's October...which means we have already spent a wonderful summer together swimming, taking swimming lessons, going to the beach, and just having fun not having to be anywhere.  All summer you asked me when you were going to start Holy Cross, and here we are!  The year before you begin Kindergarten!  I can't dwell on it, or I'll cry!  I love these years spent at home with you, watching you grow and learn new things.  I realize the ultimate goal is to have you grow into a Christ following young man, and I pray we are doing this parenting thing the way God would have us to do it.

Holy Cross--It has already been such a blessing to you and to me.  Having Mrs. Angie teach you about God's love throughout the year is an answered prayer.  I hope you grow up knowing that no matter what you do I am proud and that I love you, but the most important thing is to love God, to love others, and to be kind.  I will cheer you on at every game you play, I will support you in each new endeavor, but I will not miss church so you can go to practice, I will not let you sacrifice your values so that you can be the best at something here on this Earth.  You certainly still like to get a little crazy, I'm still trying to find ways to help you learn to keep your hands to yourself, but oh my sweet Max how you have improved.  I love you so!  You are a hard worker, you are listening so much better, you can put a puzzle together better than I can!!!  You have earned 2 golden hearts already: one for telling the truth and one for apologizing to a classmate!  I love your heart!

We have cut your screen time down to almost none during the day!  You are a different kid when you are able to get your energy out before going to school or Sunday School.

You love music!  I am hoping I can get you into some lessons while you are still little to see if this is something you want to pursue.

You still love sugar!  Kinda like your mama!  :)

I love you so much!  I'm so proud of you!
