Max,
You're 4! I want to ask all those typical questions like, "Where did the time go?" The thing is, I know exactly where it went! Fun days playing outside at Grammy's and Granddaddy's riding bicycles, tractors, gators, and pugs. We spent that time starting preschool, learning how to share, how write your name, how to be nice to others, how to stop hitting, stop biting, start using your words. We spent that time going to church learning about Jesus and the Bible. We spent that time brushing teeth, reading bedtime stories, you memorizing all the words to your favorite books, giving at least five hugs and kisses before finally lying down in your bed. We spent that time playing your ipad, taking away your ipad because you weren't behaving or listening at preschool. We spent that time giving you lectures in the car about right and wrong, about how to sit and listen, discussing consequences to actions. We spent that time putting together puzzles, watching Calliou, playing with cousins, spending the night at Grammy's, eating chocolate, laughing, running, playing at the park on warm days, having movie nights with popcorn, playing hide and go seek in the house, sleeping with Tagg in his bed, waking up too early, going for walks to the cupcake shop, building towers...I would say we spent that time well.
You have been the most challenging thing ever placed in my life. I often remember time spent in high school and college praying to God that I could just have a closer relationship with Him. One night when I was lying in bed beside you, I realized that God answered that prayer on February 24, 2012. You are going to keep me on my knees, little one!
It's been a fun, yet challenging year for all of us, and I wouldn't change a thing! How blessed I am to be your momma! You look at life differently than I do, and I love seeing the world through your eyes. You have a kind heart, you remember everything, you listen even when we don't think you are.
You love seeing how many steps I have on my fitbit...you just love a competition. I am so excited that you get to play tee ball this year. You told me that was your wish when you blew out your candle. I can't wait to watch you play and have fun on the field.
I love you so much!
Momma
